Structural Steel
Platforms, stairs, reinforcement, and miscellaneous metals are the backbone that carries everything else. We fabricate and install structural steel in the shop and in the field — and we can engineer and permit it when the job calls for it.
In short
We fabricate and field-install structural steel and miscellaneous metals — platforms, mezzanines, stairs, handrail and egress, equipment reinforcement, tie-ins and supports — including engineered, permitted design-build.
Structural work has to be right, code-correct, and safe to install. We shore it properly, build it to drawings, and tie it back cleanly — whether it is a new egress stair or RTU reinforcement on a roof.
When a project needs more than welding, we take it from concept through engineered shop drawings and permits to a finished, code-correct install — reporting straight to the GC.
Design-build proof
Concept to permitted install, reporting to the GC
On a roof access project we cut the penetration, designed and added RTU/roof structural reinforcement, and installed a roof access hatch with an internal ship’s ladder and external aluminum ladder.
We pulled the permits, produced engineered shop drawings through our retained engineer, managed the full scope to a tight timeline, and reported directly to the GC. It earned significant repeat work.

How it runs
How we run structural steel
- 01
Design & drawings
We produce engineered shop drawings through our retained engineer and pull permits when the scope requires them.
- 02
Shore & prep
We safely shore and prep the structure — proper jack-stand shoring and a clean, controlled work area.
- 03
Fabricate & install
We fabricate the steel and install it on site, tied back to the building and base-plated to spec.
- 04
Inspect & close out
We confirm the install is code-correct, clean up, and report completion to the GC.

Good to know
Structural Steel — questions we hear
Do you fabricate and install structural steel?
Yes. We fabricate and field-install structural steel and miscellaneous metals — platforms, stairs, handrail, reinforcement, tie-ins and supports — in the shop and on site.
Can you do engineered, permitted design-build?
Yes. We take projects from concept through engineered shop drawings and permits to a finished, code-correct install, reporting to the GC.
Do you build stairs, ladders and egress?
Yes — steel stairs, ship’s ladders, aluminum ladders, handrail, diamond-plate treads and bar-grating landings, tied back and base-plated to spec.
Can you reinforce for rooftop equipment?
Yes. We cut roof penetrations and design and install RTU and roof structural reinforcement as a permitted design-build scope.
